Grant Accountant

The Grants Accountant supports the financial management of government and privately funded programs, ensuring accurate reporting, contract reconciliation, and compliance with NYC social services funding requirements. This role works closely with program and finance teams to maintain financial integrity and audit readiness.

• Reconcile contracts and prepare financial reports and vouchers in accordance with funding guidelines.
• Maintain program‑level P&Ls and review expense allocations for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with cash flow tracking for assigned funding sources.
• Analyze year‑to‑date performance and prepare revenue and expense projections.
• Maintain organized grant documentation and support audit requests.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to manage financial data and generate reports.
• Assist with ERP enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience within NYC social services or government‑funded nonprofit organizations.
• Experience managing government contracts and voucher submissions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics (required).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

$35/ Hour

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications.
