Senior Tax Accountant

A leading global investment and advisory firm ($220B AUM) is seeking a seasoned tax professional to join its Alternative Investments Tax Team. This role will be responsible for the tax compliance of credit-focused private funds (closed-end funds, hybrid funds, etc.), structured securitization vehicles (CLOs, aircraft financing transactions, real estate financing, infrastructure investments), real estate funds, private equity funds, and SPVs. While the role is primarily credit-focused, it offers exposure to a broad range of alternative investment products.

• Assume full responsibility for tax compliance administration for credit-focused private funds, real estate funds, private equity funds, and SPVs
• Manage and oversee external tax service providers
• Lead partnership, corporate, and other tax engagements
• Review partner tax allocations, tax adjustments, Schedules K-1, and Forms 1065
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax estimates
• Participate in tax planning initiatives and monitor book-to-tax differences throughout the year

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of experience at a Big Four or mid-sized public accounting firm and/or within an asset management firm
• Experience with private funds is required
• Progress toward CPA licensure

• 5–8 years of tax experience within the alternative investment industry or at a public accounting firm
• Strong technical tax expertise in credit products
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax law and tax compliance requirements
• Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team-based environment
