HFT Trader​/Market Maker Taipei

In this role, you will apply mathematical and quantitative methods to evaluate financial products or markets in order to find trading opportunities and calculate risks.

• Conduct in-depth research on Cefi market data and order book data
• Design and deploy algorithmic trading strategies to the production environment
• Expand automated trading business to new trading products and venues, calibrate and fine tune the performance.
• Provide reporting on daily market sentiment, risk exposure, P&L
• Conduct post-trade analysis of trading strategies and algo performance risk mitigation strategies and responsible for portfolio/strategy optimization

• Previous HFT trading experience in U.S. equities, forex, or crypto markets
• STEM Degree from a top college or university
• Have an excellent track record of building profitable strategy from 0 to 1 in the past (Doesn’t need to be profitable right now)
• We are only considering strategies with short holding periods, high trading frequency, and a high turnover ratio
• Previous experience at a proprietary trading firm, or hedge fund.
• Crypto experience is a plus, but not required
• Must be capable of hands-on AI coding, preferably in Rust or C++

• Candidates are required to work on-site five days a week, either in the New York office or the Taipei office
• Candidates should expect 2–3 rounds of coding tests, each lasting 2–3 hours
• Excellent written and spoken English, any other languages will be a plus
