Management Controller

Coda Search is partnering with a leading $80BN global investment management firm specializing in high-growth emerging equities. This dynamic firm, with a significant global footprint, is searching for an Controller to join their thriving New York team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a top-performing organization known for its forward-thinking approach and exponential growth in the investment sector.

As the Controller, you’ll play a key role in the firm’s accounting and finance functions, working closely with the CFO on crucial financial processes, including consolidated monthly reporting, in-depth variance analysis, and investment performance insights.

• Manage the month-end close processes, including comprehensive balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Manage the general ledger with precision, posting journal entries, and ensuring account accuracy.
• Execute intercompany transactions across multiple entities, maintaining effective oversight of international finance operations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives across various business divisions, contributing insights to strategic decision-making.
• Prepare journal entries, conduct monthly account analyses, and identify trends that drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate the annual audit, collaborating with external auditors and preparing supporting documentation to ensure compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in the financial services sector
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• CPA certification is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software tools.
