A rapidly scaling, high-growth technology platform, establishing a new category in its field, is seeking a visionary VP of Finance & Accounting Operations
. This pivotal role is responsible for architecting and leading the entire finance and accounting operations infrastructure across our multi-subsidiary, multi-geography organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will serve as the operational leader, overseeing outsourced accounting providers and internal financial systems across over a dozen international locations.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to build world-class financial operations as the company scales from a $40M+ revenue base towards $100M+ and beyond, supporting aggressive global expansion. The position is full-time and permanently based in New York City, NY
, with hybrid work flexibility and global operational oversight.

Responsibilities Global Financial Operations Leadership
  • Operational Oversight: Lead and manage outsourced finance and accounting operations across diverse international regions (including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia).
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with global third-party accounting and service providers, ensuring strict performance standards and accountability.
  • Standardization & Controls: Design, implement, and enforce standardized accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that scale globally while adhering to various local regulatory requirements.
  • Closing & Reporting: Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process across all entities to ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Financial Systems & Technology Transformation
  • System Strategy: Drive the evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of the core financial operations technology stack, including ERP, consolidation, and automation platforms.
  • Automation: Lead systems integration and automation initiatives to significantly improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of multi-entity financial operations.
  • Consolidation: Implement and manage complex intercompany transaction systems, elimination processes, and multi-entity consolidation workflows.
Compliance, Treasury, and Strategic Partnership
  • Compliance: Manage multi-jurisdictional regulatory and tax compliance, overseeing key functions such as AP/AR, payroll coordination, asset management, and revenue recognition across entities.
  • Audit Management: Lead and coordinate the global audit process, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and outsourced providers.
  • Treasury & Equity: Oversee global cash management, treasury operations, banking relationships, and manage equity transactions and cap table administration.
  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the CFO and executive team to provide data-driven operational insights that support strategic decision-making and rapid business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CPA, or an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or controllership.
  • Global Operations: 5+ years of experience leading complex multi-entity/multi-geography accounting operations or managing outsourced finance functions.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep familiarity with multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency accounting, and hands-on experience implementing financial systems. Experience with multi-entity platforms such as Sage Intacct or Net Suite is highly desirable.
  • Industry Preference: Prior experience supporting high-growth, venture capital-backed companies with rapid scaling (e.g., 2-3x revenue growth) and international expansion is a significant advantage.
  • Big Four experience (4+ years) with exposure to multinational clients is preferred.
