Capital Origination Associates support investment teams and client coverage groups by sourcing, structuring, and executing capital-raising opportunities. The role blends financial analysis, market research, and client relationship management in fast-paced environments.
These roles often involve close collaboration with senior bankers, investment professionals, portfolio managers, and risk and legal teams to structure financing solutions and present opportunities to clients or investors.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the origination and execution of capital-raising transactions across equity, debt, and alternative investment products
Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario modeling for potential investment opportunities
Prepare pitch materials, presentations, and investment memoranda for clients and internal committees
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential clients, industry trends, and financing opportunities
Assist in client outreach, relationship management, and tracking pipeline activity
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and smooth execution of transactions
Monitor portfolio performance and support reporting on capital deployment, returns, and investor communications
Identify strategic opportunities to expand client coverage and origination initiatives
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and investment structuring
Experience or coursework in investment banking, private equity, credit, or capital markets (preferred but not required)
Advanced analytical skills, financial modeling, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Python, SQL, or other data tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills for client-facing and internal presentations
Strong interest in finance, investment structuring, and strategic client solutions
