Senior Revenue Accounting Manager - NYC

We are hiring a high-impact Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to own our revenue cycle and strategic financial reporting. If you have 7-10 years of experience in revenue accounting (ideally in asset management) and are ready to step into a leadership role, this is your opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be the pillar of our revenue and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the Revenue Cycle: Manage and oversee daily operations for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and cash application, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
  • Strategic Reporting: Develop and present insightful management reports, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance, specifically around AUM and revenue.
  • Month-End Master: Supervise and execute month-end closing processes, including managing intercompany eliminations and reconciling key balance sheet accounts.
  • Compliance & Audit: Lead efforts in the development of core financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and serve as a key liaison for external auditors.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with business departments to align financial reporting with strategic objectives.
Who You Are

You are a seasoned accounting professional ready to take the next step in a leadership-focused role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
    CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in revenue accounting, ideally within the investment or financial services sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of GAAP, month-end closing, and accrual-based accounting.
  • Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in ERP systems (familiarity with Net Suite is a plus) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills — you can simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
