A leading middle-market investment bank, private equity firm, or corporate development team may seek a Transaction Economics Analyst to evaluate the financial and economic dynamics of transactions
, including mergers, acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings, and strategic investments.

Analyze the economic impact of transactions

Build and maintain transaction-focused financial models (DCF, accretion/dilution, IRR, scenario and sensitivity analyses)

Evaluate deal pricing, financing structures, and capital allocation outcomes

Assess risk-return tradeoffs across different transaction structures and strategic alternatives

Support M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements with economic analysis

Assist in validating investment assumptions, synergies, and downside scenarios

Prepare transaction economics summaries for investment committees and senior stakeholders

Support due diligence by analyzing unit economics, margins, and cash conversion

Collaborate with bankers, investors, and internal teams across transaction execution workflows

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline

Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and transaction mechanics

High proficiency in Excel with experience building structured analytical models

Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to translate complex economic analyses into clear business insights

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams

Prior internship or experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, or corporate finance is beneficial

Proficiency in Power Point and financial research tools
