Senior Accounting Associate

We’re looking for a hands‑on Senior Accounting Associate to join a lean investment firm in NYC and work directly with the CFO
. This is a high‑ownership role for someone who wants to run core processes, own the systems, and help build the finance function as the firm scales.

This is not a back‑office support role, you’ll be trusted with real responsibility from day one.

• Own the firm’s accounting systems and ERP
  , including day‑to‑day operation and ongoing improvements
• Run management company accounting end to end (GL ownership, month‑end close, reporting)
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Oversee AP, expense allocations, reimbursements, and cash management
• Ensure accurate, GAAP‑compliant financials and maintain strong internal controls
• Partner closely with the CFO on reporting, process improvements, and scaling the infrastructure
• Support audits, tax processes, and ad hoc finance initiatives as needed

• 4–6 years of accounting experience with an investment management, financial services, or a fund related environment.
• Comfortable owning processes independently in a lean team
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERPs (Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
