We are seeking an experienced Controller / Senior Finance Lead to serve as a trusted financial partner to ownership within a boutique luxury events company based in NYC. This senior-level role is central to stewarding the company’s financial health with precision, discretion and impeccable judgment.

• Lead all financial reporting
  , internal controls, and close processes with accuracy and consistency
• Translate financial statements into meaningful insights that support ownership's strategic vision
• Maintain the integrity and sophistication of all financial systems and data
• Guide and mentor accounting staff while overseeing core controller-level functions
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors to ensure best-in-class financial practices

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Oversee banking relationships, cash flow, and payment approvals with a sharp eye for detail
• Proactively manage risk through insurance coverage, contract oversight, and compliance monitoring
• Protect company assets through strong, thoughtful financial controls that support growth and creativity

• Oversee payroll, benefit programs, and related reporting with care and precision
• Ensure compliance with wage, labor, and benefit regulations
• Support the employee lifecycle-from onboarding to transitions-with professionalism and discretion
• Safeguard all financial and personnel information with the highest level of confidentiality and trust
