My Client, a fantastic leading brand in NYC are seeking to hire a Junior Controller into the team as the business expands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and profitability analysis
- Review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and advise ownership on business performance
- Oversee banking activity, approve payments, and ensure accurate credit card tracking and controls
- Manage state and federal compliance, including sales tax filings and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with external accountants and oversee annual tax reporting (1099s, W-2s)
- Manage insurance, risk, contract review, and vendor compliance (COIs, NDAs)
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure strong financial processes and internal controls
- Oversee payroll processing, job cost reporting, and HR administration (PTO tracking, onboarding, benefits, workers’ comp, offboarding)
