Tax Director

Tax Director | Global Asset Manager | NYC

Leading global asset manager seeking a Tax Director to oversee all tax matters for the Management Company and help lead a global tax function. This is a highly visible leadership role partnering directly with Finance, Legal, IR, and executive stakeholders across the firm.

• Oversee outsourced tax compliance and in-house tax provision processes
• Lead all tax aspects of the employee equity program (equity transactions, quarterly distributions, PTET, SALT, stakeholder communication)
• Manage non-GAAP and US GAAP income tax provisions and ASC 740 reporting
• Prepare executive-level tax summaries and present quarterly updates to the Audit Committee
• Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax audits and resolutions
• Collaborate on M&A and strategic initiatives, including tax due diligence and integration
• Manage non-income tax filings and global information reporting
• Oversee tax modeling related to planning initiatives and regulatory changes
• Partner with external advisors (Big 4, law firms, administrators)
• Lead, mentor, and develop internal tax staff

• CPA required; degree in Tax or Accounting
• 10+ years of tax experience (public + private preferred)
• Strong U.S. partnership and corporate tax expertise; operating partnership experience preferred
• Experience overseeing outsourced compliance (Big 4 environment)
• Working knowledge of transfer pricing
• Advanced Excel skills; modeling/automation experience a plus
• Hands-on leader with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
