Location: New York

Our client, a well established and highly regarded alternative investment firm in Midtown, NY, is looking to add a senior tax accountant to their team in preparation for busy season. This candidate will be responsible for preparation and review of all federal and state tax return and reporting forms, including K-1, 1065, 1120, 1042, PFIC statements, amongst others.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review hedge fund and private equity funds
  • Plan and strategize for a complex group of hedge funds and Private Equity funds, including the coordination of all tax filings and yearly tax work with the outsourced accounting firm
  • Review K-1s, 1065s, 8865s and partnership tax returns, review M-1 tax adjustments
  • Communicate with firm’s finance and tax departments on tax needs and adjustments
  • Significant tax compliance responsibilities for hedge fund and private equity funds
  • Analyze, review and prepare all tax allocations per the partnership agreement
  • Prepare tax estimates and forecasts

    • Job Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in partnership tax
  • Previous experience in tax compliance review
  • Previous experience focused in credit and distressed debt securities
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Well rounded and enthusiastic characteristics
