Junior Accountant; Private Equity

Multi-strategy investment firm with 100 employees and offices around the globe managing $6 billion in assets is seeking a private equity accountant to join their team.

• Daily P&L reporting for the funds
• Preparation and fund expenditures packages and wire transfer requests; analyze and prepare expense allocations between multiple fund entities
• Maintain detailed summary tracking expenditures across funds
• Assist with month end close process
• Including tie out of administrator work papers
• Identify and analyze daily cash activity for various fund entities
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly position and cost reconciliations
• Verify portfolio pricing to third party sources and address ad hoc requests as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related discipline-CPA (or parts passed)
• 2-4 years of experience in the investment management field (public accounting with alternative asset management clients or at a private equity firm or hedge fund)
• Basic understanding of various investment classes
• Strong Excel skills and communication skills – both written and verbal
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and takes ownership over work product
• Experience with Advent Geneva preferred, not required
