A leading middle-market investment bank, corporate development team, or private equity-backed company may seek an M&A Synergies Specialist to support the identification, modeling, and validation of revenue and cost synergies across mergers, acquisitions, and carve-out transactions.

Analyze and quantify cost and revenue synergy opportunities across M&A transactions

Build and maintain synergy models

Support accretion/dilution and transaction economics analyses incorporating synergies

Collaborate with deal teams on integration planning and value creation frameworks

Assist with commercial, operational, and financial due diligence related to synergy assumptions

Benchmark synergy targets against comparable transactions and industry standards

Prepare synergy-related materials for investment committees, management teams, and clients

Track and analyze post-close synergy realization versus deal underwriting cases

Coordinate with strategy, operations, and finance teams across transaction workflows

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, particularly in transaction and synergy analysis

Understanding of M&A deal structures, valuation, and integration concepts

Ability to translate complex assumptions into clear, defensible financial outputs

Excellent communication and presentation skills

High attention to detail with strong organizational discipline

Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment

Prior internship or experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting, private equity, or transaction advisory is beneficial

Proficiency in Excel, Power Point , and financial research tools
