The OpportunityAs part of its continued growth strategy, our client is seeking to add a senior Managing Director with demonstrable origination capability.
The firm is open to a range of sector specializations and is particularly interested in senior professionals with established client relationships and a proven ability to independently source and lead transactions.
This opportunity is well suited to entrepreneurial originators seeking greater autonomy, direct economics, and the ability to build or expand a coverage vertical within a focused independent platform.
Headquartered in New York, the firm is open to flexible or remote arrangements for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead sector coverage efforts and originate new business
- Develop and maintain senior-level client and sponsor relationships
- Source, execute, and close M&A and capital advisory transactions
- Provide strategic advisory across growth, monetization, and capital initiatives
- Collaborate closely with partners and execution teams
- Mentor and support junior professionals involved in transactions
- 10+ years of investment banking experience in M&A and/or capital advisory
- Clear track record of transaction origination and revenue generation
- Established client relationships within a defined sector vertical
- Experience leading transactions from pitch through closing
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial judgment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate effectively within a performance-driven environment
- FINRA licenses (or willingness to obtain if required)
