Sr. Accountant

Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong technical skills to oversee critical accounting functions and ensure compliance with tax regulations in Pleasantville, New York. This position is key to managing monthly financial close processes, reconciling high-volume inventory and transactional accounts, and supporting accurate internal financial reporting in a fast-paced wholesale and distribution environment. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to implement process improvements, and expertise in both tax compliance and audit documentation.

Collaboration with external advisors and cross-functional teams is essential to drive operational excellence and maintain robust internal controls.

Requirements

+ Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in wholesale or distribution sectors.

+ Proficiency in month-end close and account reconciliations, with strong journal entry and variance analysis skills.

+ Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance, and familiarity with AP/AR operations.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
