The Private Markets Strategy Manager leads strategic initiatives and investment programs within private markets, focusing on optimizing portfolio performance, capital deployment, and long-term investment outcomes. This role combines market insight, quantitative analysis, and strategic planning to identify opportunities, manage programmatic investments, and support senior leadership in decision‑making.
This position collaborates closely with investment teams, portfolio managers, risk teams, and operational stakeholders to align private market strategies with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for private market investments, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, and alternative assets
- Conduct in‑depth market research, due diligence, and performance benchmarking to support investment decisions
- Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and models for portfolio insights, capital allocation, and risk monitoring
- Collaborate with investment teams to optimize portfolio structure, deployment efficiency, and performance tracking
- Identify strategic opportunities, inefficiencies, and trends in private markets
- Prepare reports, presentations, and insights for senior management and stakeholders to inform strategic decision‑making
- Monitor regulatory, economic, and market developments affecting private market investments
- Support the design and execution of private markets programs, initiatives, and investment frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of private markets, investment instruments, and capital allocation strategies
- Experience or coursework in private equity, venture capital, real estate, or alternative investments (preferred but not required)
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or portfolio analytics tools is a plus
- Ability to communicate complex strategic insights effectively to senior stakeholders
- Strong interest in private market trends, investment strategy, and programmatic portfolio management
