The Operations Associate will join the Macro Operations team, providing follow-the-sun operational support to Paris Operations across Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD) and Foreign Exchange (FX).
This role is responsible for the validation, confirmation, and settlement of trades, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong risk control across the trade lifecycle. The associate will act as a key control point between Front Office, Middle Office, counter parties, and payment networks.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Provide follow-the-sun support for Paris Operations:
- Perform daily trade validation for IRD and FX products
- Ensure trade economics are accurately captured and aligned with front office bookings
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage and monitor electronic and manual trade confirmations
- Ensure timely matching and affirmation of trades through industry platforms
- Liaise with counter parties and internal stakeholders to resolve unmatched or disputed trades
- Process and control cash settlements and lifecycle payments related to macro products
- Prepare, validate, and release SWIFT payment instructions in accordance with internal controls
- Monitor settlement timelines and escalate any funding or payment issues
- Perform daily monitoring and exception management across FX matching platforms
- Ensure trades are matched and affirmed within market timelines
- Support investigation and resolution of breaks with counter parties and internal team
- Identify, escalate, and track operational risks and settlement issues
- Adherent internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Contribute to process improvements and control enhancements
- Work closely with Front Office, Trade Support, Middle Office, IT and other support functions
- Maintain professional communication with external counter parties and custodians
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-5 years of experience in a Back/Middle office role supporting Macro products
- Interest Rate, FX and Derivatives knowledge is mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with FX BO platforms (FXAll, CLS, Markit Wire)
- Knowledge of electronic confirmation platforms
- Practical experience with SWIFT payment processing (MT/MX messages)
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle systems and settlement workflows
- Experience in a back office / operations environment supporting global markets
- Ability to manage high volumes with accuracy under time pressure
- Bi-lingual (French) not required but would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and control mindset
- Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive, market-driven environment
- Excellent problem-solving and investigation skills
- Clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Team player with the ability to work across regions in a follow-the-sun model

The salary range for this Associate position will be between $105,000 - $125,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
