RepresentativeRole Overview
A leading middle-market investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or corporate development team may seek an M&A Analyst to support end-to-end merger and acquisition transactions. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking hands-on deal experience, advanced financial modeling exposure, and direct involvement in transaction execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain transaction-focused financial models, including DCF, merger, accretion/dilution, and LBO analyses
Conduct company, industry, and market research to support M&A transactions
Prepare valuation analyses and transaction materials for buy-side and sell-side engagements
Support live M&A deal execution, including coordination of due diligence processes
Assist with data room management, buyer outreach, and transaction documentation
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations
Collaborate with senior bankers, corporate development leaders, and external advisors throughout the deal lifecycle
Desired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation methodologies
Solid understanding of M&A transaction processes and financial statements
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deal work streams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, corporate development, or consulting is a plus
Proficiency in Excel, Power Point , and financial research platforms
