Overview

The Senior Tax Manager, Income Tax Compliance
, is responsible for managing and overseeing the preparation, review, and timely filing of U.S. federal, state & local income tax returns for Dentsu US entities. This role ensures compliance with US federal and applicable state income tax laws and regulations. Approximately 10% of responsibilities involve working closely with the Tax Director on tax planning and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, prepare and/or review approximately 250 federal, state and local income tax returns, plus extensions, estimates and other income tax-related filings. Timely and accurate filings are required.
  • Review work prepared by in-house offshore US tax team for accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle correspondence with tax authorities and manage audits, notices, and inquiries.
  • Research tax issues and provide practical solutions and recommendations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate offshore US tax team (3 members).
  • Improve tax processes and recommend best practices for implementation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leverage external advisors efficiently to ensure accuracy of Dentsu tax returns. Responsible for Dentsu tax compliance budget.
  • Assist Tax Director in ad-hoc tax planning and special projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in corporation income tax return preparation and review.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with tax research and compliance related software, and accounting/ERP systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in public accounting or tax advisory services.
  • Experience in a large multinational corporate tax department.
  • CPA, EA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge with One Source compliance software highly desired.
  • Client service mindset with a proactive approach.

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($114,425-$190,900). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
