Firm Overview: Founded in 2007, Centre Lane Partners is a private investment firm that invests in the equity and debt of middle market companies in North America. We employ a flexible strategy that approaches complex situations with a solutions orientation. We have an experienced, collaborative and diverse team, and seek to partner with strong management teams that can benefit from patient, long-term capital and our operational, financial and strategic expertise and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting industry research using tools such as Salesforce, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and Fact Set.
  • Supporting the deal process evaluation, including structuring, negotiation, and financing of transactions.
  • Performing detailed company-specific analyses, including cohort analysis, revenue breakdowns, and financial performance metrics (e.g., revenue, gross margin, EBITDA), as well as customer-level performance.
  • Building complex financial models to assess potential investment opportunities, employing advanced financial models for leveraged buyouts, mergers, public company take-privates, and other deal types.
  • Preparing comprehensive investment committee presentations and memoranda.
  • Contributing to the ongoing management of existing portfolio investments.

Private Equity Investment Approach: Focus on complex lower middle-market businesses, upper middle market buyouts, and high-quality, stable target company growth buyouts in businesses with EBITDA ranging from $25 million to $100 million. Targets include small, growth-focused leveraged buyouts with both majority and minority growth equity investments.

Qualifications:

  • 12-18 months of experience at a top-tier investment bank.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including the ability to conduct detailed industry and company-specific analyses, such as customer cohort analysis, revenue breakdowns, financial performance metrics (covering revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA), and customer-level insights.
  • Proficient in building and updating complex financial models, including those for leveraged buyouts, take-privates, dividend transactions, and minority investments.
  • Excellent academic record with a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a strong ability to collaborate with teams and interact with senior stakeholders.

Location: This role is based in Manhattan, NY. On-site presence is required four days a week, Monday through Thursday.

Compensation: Base salary with additional performance-based bonuses. Compensation is based on total capital managed by the firm and its affiliates.
