OverviewThis role focuses on the valuation of real estate, credit and related financial instruments and includes portfolio monitoring and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong foundation in valuation and financial analysis, excellent attention to detail, and a drive to improve systems and processes. Additionally, the candidate will have strong technology skills (iLevel and/or Power Query experience preferred).
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Valuation:
Build and maintain financial models for real estate and credit valuation, accurately reflecting the characteristics of each instrument. - Valuation:
Analyze borrower financials, capital structures, and market data to inform key valuation assumptions. - Valuation:
Review and assess appraised and modeled values for real estate properties with an understanding of the key drivers and fundamentals. - Valuation:
Update valuations to reflect material events (e.g., amendments, credit rating changes, company performance). - Valuation:
Analyze market trends and property performance to inform valuation conclusions. - Valuation:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare valuation reports and present findings to the Valuation Committee. - Valuation:
Coordinate with third-party valuation providers and auditors; reconcile internal and external valuation outputs. - Valuation:
Document valuation methodologies and support process automation initiatives to enhance efficiency. - Valuation:
Review and monitor the financial performance of borrowers, including covenant compliance, liquidity, and business developments. - Valuation:
Contribute to internal dashboards and reports used for credit exposure and performance monitoring. - Data Management:
Maintain databases of company financial and performance metrics across the portfolio. - Data Management:
Summarize financial information to inform investment decisions and provide insights to senior leadership. - Data Management:
Improve information collection and sharing workflows across the firm. - Liaise with Key Functions to Drive Firm Success:
Support investor relations, business development, and fundraising processes. - Liaise with Key Functions to Drive Firm Success:
Contribute to ad hoc initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting/finance with valuation exposure
- Additional credentials ABV, ASA, CFA, and/or CPA
- Mid-Senior level
