Responsibilities
  • Own and lead primary client relationships, serving as the trusted advisor and central point of accountability for UHNW individuals and families
  • Exceed client expectations – providing exceptional service, discretion, and a “go the extra mile” mindset
  • Drive the client engagement strategy, including meeting cadence, priorities, and communication across stakeholders
  • Proactively identify client needs, risks, and opportunities, bringing forward solutions and recommendations before they are requested
  • Deliver strategic, integrated advice across trust & estate planning, tax planning, investments, and financial planning – ensuring decisions are coordinated and aligned to long-term goals
  • Translate complex planning and investment concepts into clear, actionable guidance for sophisticated clients
  • Guide overall balance sheet and cash flow strategy, including liquidity planning for lifestyle needs, capital calls, gifting, and taxes
  • Coordinate closely with internal specialists, client CPAs, and attorneys to support estate planning strategy and implementation
  • Ensure tax planning is integrated into investment and planning decisions; support quarterly estimates and transaction-driven planning coordination
  • Partner with internal specialists to advise on insurance considerations as part of an integrated risk management plan
  • Provide guidance on philanthropic planning and execution
  • Partner with internal specialists on investment strategy – asset allocation, asset location, tax-aware implementation, and performance review
  • Oversee private investment workflows – subscriptions, entity selection considerations, capital call/distribution monitoring, and client-facing reporting/education
  • Lead the client team – set direction, delegate effectively, and ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables
  • Drive execution and follow-through on all client action items – ensuring deadlines are met and work is documented
  • Maintain strong organization and oversight of the client’s workflow – ensuring the team operates efficiently and proactively
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial drive to help grow the business through client retention, relationship deepening, and partnering with leadership on new client acquisition efforts
  • Contribute to the evolution of CPFO’s processes and technology to improve scalability and client experience

  • Advanced Excel abilities; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with Wealth Tech tools (Addepar is a plus)
Experience & Education
  • Advanced understanding of comprehensive financial planning (investments, tax planning, insurance, and estate planning)
  • Experience with advanced trust & estate planning strategies a plus
  • 6-10 years of experience in wealth management
  • 3-7 years of experience leading client relationships in wealth management / financial planning (Family Office/MFO is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CFP or other relevant advanced credential (MBA, CFA, CIMA, CPA, etc.)
  • Series 65 license, or ability to obtain within three months of hire
