Location: New York

The Settlements Analyst will support day-to-day post-trade operations within a high-volume capital markets environment. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate settlement activity across a range of asset classes, including foreign exchange, rates-related products, and government securities. The position involves close coordination with internal trading, operations, and risk teams to resolve exceptions and mitigate settlement exposure. This role sits within a broader operations function that supports capital markets activity across funding, collateral, and transaction lifecycle management.

The team manages both cash and securities settlements while responding to time-sensitive inquiries and supporting ongoing operational and regulatory initiatives. The position is based in the greater New York area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily settlement workflows, including trade validation, pre-settlement checks, and post-settlement reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage settlement risk by identifying breaks, investigating discrepancies, and escalating issues as needed
  • Coordinate payment confirmations, affirmations, and settlement instruction maintenance
  • Respond to internal and external settlement-related inquiries across multiple products and currencies
  • Contribute to process enhancements and operational projects aligned with evolving market standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in settlements, post-trade operations, or a similar function
  • Exposure to payment investigations and SWIFT messaging preferred
