Capital Markets Analyst

A leading global private markets investor is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Private Equity team in New York. The group invests across primary fund commitments, co-investments, and secondaries, with a focus on lower mid-market opportunities and long-term partnerships with exceptional fund managers worldwide.

As an analyst, you’ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for sourcing, screening, and evaluating private equity fund opportunities. You’ll work closely with senior investment professionals to:

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective fund investments
• Build and maintain financial and portfolio models to support investment recommendations
• Participate in meetings with general partners, intermediaries, and placement agents
• Contribute to investment memos, committee materials, and internal presentations
• Monitor existing partnerships, attend annual meetings and review fund reports
• Support ongoing market research and portfolio analytics

Preferred Background:

• 1–3 years of experience in private markets, investment consulting, or fund-of-funds
• Strong analytical and modelling skills with a genuine interest in private equity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A self-starter mindset: proactive, curious, and able to work in a dynamic team environment
• Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier institution
• Progress toward (or interest in) the CFA designation is a plus
