We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Associate to join our Real Estate Investing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 2–4 years of experience in real estate credit, private equity, or investment banking to gain broad exposure to opportunistic real estate credit strategies.
The role involves significant responsibility in underwriting, financial modeling, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring of commercial real estate debt investments across U.S. and spanning all asset classes.
Key Responsibilities- Investment Analysis & Underwriting: Drive underwriting, modeling and Investment Committee presentations.
- Financial Modeling: Develop, optimize, and maintain sophisticated Excel-based financial models (including Argus where applicable) to evaluate acquisitions, construction financing, transitional loans, stretch seniors, mezzanine, and distressed opportunities.
- Market Research & Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth market research, secure and validate borrower/broker documentation, perform site visits, and deliver actionable intelligence on demographic trends, supply/demand dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Transaction Support: Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, present findings to the investment committee, and support deal structuring, negotiation, and closing in coordination with legal and cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor asset and portfolio performance, track construction draws/budgets/timelines (for development loans), prepare quarterly/annual reporting, and provide value-add recommendations.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, private real estate credit/debt, private equity real estate, or real estate investment banking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and scenario/stress analysis; experience with Argus Enterprise is highly desirable.
- Strong PowerPoint skills for creating clear, professional investment committee materials.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated with a strong eagerness to learn and grow.
- Basic understanding of construction process, and property-level due diligence.
- Familiarity with insurance capital or long-duration investment mandates is a plus.
- Join near the formation stage and play a meaningful role in scaling a high-growth asset manager backed by a $25+ billion.
- Gain hands-on exposure to sophisticated real estate credit structures, institutional origination platforms, and long-term value creation.
- Work directly with senior leaders in a collaborative, meritocratic culture focused on alignment, integrity, and excellence.
- Competitive compensation (base + performance bonus), comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching), and generous paid time off.
