Role OverviewInitio Sphere is onboarding qualified finance professionals to serve as Certified Portfolio & Deal Analysts
, supporting both transaction-level execution and ongoing portfolio analysis for investors, fund managers, and operators.
This is not a traditional employment role
. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through a structured certification, verification, and approval process.
- Support live transactions and post-close portfolio analysis
- Work directly with investors, fund managers, and operators
- Gain access to paid analytical work tied to real assets and portfolios
- Are promoted within the platform based on performance and reliability
- Build a verified deal and portfolio track record with an Analyst Rating Score
Rating Score: 90–100
Compensation: $150–$200/hour
Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, real estate development, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of deal and portfolio experience
Rating Score: 80–89
Compensation: $100–$150/hour
Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of transaction, portfolio monitoring, or modeling experience
Rating Score: 60–79
Compensation: $50–$100/hour
Typical Background: Entry- to mid-level analysts with strong technical skills and demonstrated analytical performance
What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)Based on certification level and category approvals, Portfolio & Deal Analysts may be engaged for:
- Deal Analysis & Transaction Support
- DCF and LBO modeling
- Sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
- Investment committee and transaction memo support
- Portfolio-level financial modeling and roll-ups
- Asset and company performance tracking vs. underwriting
- KPI dashboards and variance analysis
- Hold / sell / refinance scenario analysis
- Portfolio risk assessment and concentration analysis
- Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
- Commercial, operational, and financial diligence
- Post-close performance reviews
- Investor reporting support and analytics
Analysts may only perform work in approved categories
. Approvals are earned through assessment results and demonstrated performance—not tenure.
- Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training
- Get verified and activated on the platform
- Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal or portfolio work
- There is no cold applying and no unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and sponsors seeking analytical support.
To qualify as a Portfolio & Deal Analyst, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
- Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each analyst is assigned a proprietary 0–100 Analyst Rating Score
, which determines:
- Platform visibility and promotion priority
- Approved work categories
- Recommended hourly compensation range
- Scores are dynamically adjusted based on performance quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Analysts are independent contractors, not employees
- Hourly rates vary by Rating Score and approval tier
- Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees
- Maximum deal-based participation: $2,500 per transaction
- Payments issued only after successful deal close and fee collection
- Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
- Provide investment advice
- Solicit securities
- Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
- All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and financial support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
