About the Associate RoleOur client is seeking an Associate to join its Investment Team. The Associate will work as a core member of the team and contribute across the full investment lifecycle, with a focus on consumer ABS, structured credit, and asset-backed corporate finance.
Responsibilities- Underwrite investment opportunities utilizing collateral-specific credit analyses (e.g., building collections/charge-off curves, measuring loss coverages, calculating investment returns)
- Review diligence materials with a focus on evaluating and manipulating loan tapes to perform credit analysis
- Exhibit subject matter expertise across financial statement analysis and fixed-income transaction mechanics
- Work fluently with large and diverse datasets
- Prepare investment memos with strong attention to detail
- Participate in and support various aspects of the deal execution process
- Monitor portfolio companies to ensure accurate reporting and generate performance reviews
- Aid in deal sourcing by identifying emerging companies and organizing initial meetings
- Develop various pieces of marketing content to build our client's brand
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years of experience in ABS, asset‑based finance (ABF), or structured credit, gained at an investment bank or an investment firm focused on structured or specialty finance
- Hands-on experience with consumer ABS transactions, warehouse facilities, or asset-backed lending structures
- Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
