Role Description
We are seeking an experiencedTrust & Estate Planning Expertto work with us on aproject-based, contract basis. This is a specialist advisory role designed for professionals who prefer high-value work, clear scope, and minimal friction.
You will be engaged as a specialist—not for sales or client sourcing. As part of the role, you will assist in developing and reviewing estate plans, performing in-depth analysis of trust and estate documents, and providing support in financial planning. The role involves collaborating with the team to ensure client needs are met, conducting research on relevant regulations, and preparing comprehensive reports and presentations.
Key Responsibilites
Design, review, and optimizetrust and estate planning structures, including not limited to:
- Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts
- Grantor vs. Non-Grantor Trusts
- Dynasty Trusts, SLATs, ILITs (as applicable)
- Estate and gift tax exposure and mitigation
- Asset protection strategies
- Intergenerational wealth transfer and governance
- Control mechanisms and beneficiary design
- Review and stress-test existing estate structures; provide second-opinion assessments
Collaborate with:
- Family office and private banking teams
- Participate in client discussions as asubject-matter expertwhen appropriate
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience inU.S. trust and estate planningand/orcross-border estate structuring for HNW&UHNW families
- Knowledge or experience with Estate Planning and Trusts
- Excellent Communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Basic understanding of Finance principles as they relate to estate and trust management
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to clearly articulate complex planning structures to sophisticated clients and advisors
- Prior coursework or experience in estate planning or trusts
- Background as aT&E attorney, CPA, or senior family office advisorpreferred
Engagement Structure
Contract / Project-Based
Compensation structured as:
- Per-project fees
- Hourly consulting
- Retainer-based or success-based arrangements (if applicable)
