Base Pay Range: $175,000 – $200,000 per year

The team has deployed over $500 million since forming the group two years ago and is now expanding to meet significant market opportunity. With a flexible, creative mandate and a collaborative culture, the group invests across a wide range of consumer and esoteric asset classes, including residuals and other complex collateral‑backed opportunities.
Role1:
Associate – Asset‑Backed Finance
Position Overview: The Associate will play a central role in evaluating, underwriting, and monitoring asset‑backed and specialty finance investments across consumer, esoteric, and residual‑based strategies. This is an opportunity to join a lean, high‑performing team where Associates have meaningful ownership of analysis, portfolio management, and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and stress‑test detailed asset‑level cash flow, pool, and residual value models
- Perform deep dive analysis on consumer and esoteric asset classes, including historical performance, servicing behavior, and collateral characteristics
- Assess deal structures, credit enhancements, triggers, and waterfalls
- Support due diligence across legal, operational, servicing, and collateral reviews
- Prepare investment committee materials and clearly articulate key risks
- Coordinate with external advisors, counter parties, and internal stakeholders
- Track ongoing pool performance, servicing trends, delinquencies, and reserve levels
- Participate in quarterly portfolio reviews and valuation discussions
- Maintain strong ongoing dialogue with partners and issuers
- 2‑4 years experience in:
- Asset‑backed finance / specialty finance investing
- Structured credit / securitization groups
- Investment banking within FIG/ABS, lending, or credit
- Strong modeling abilities (pool‑level, cashflow waterfalls, structuring analysis)
- Familiarity with esoteric or consumer ABS, residuals, or specialty lending models
- Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
Position Overview: The VP/Director will be a senior member of the investment team, responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting, and managing asset‑backed investments. This individual will drive complex transaction work streams, interface directly with issuers and counter parties, and help shape the continued build‑out of the strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships across specialty finance, originators, lenders, servicers, and advisors
- Identify compelling opportunities across consumer ABS, esoteric assets, residuals, and structured solutions
- Lead preliminary deal screening and early‑stage structuring discussions
- Oversee and refine asset‑level and cash flow modeling
- Evaluate collateral quality, servicing capabilities, operational infrastructure, and counter party creditworthiness
- Structure bespoke, flexible capital solutions aligned with the firm's risk‑adjusted return objectives
- Lead due diligence processes across legal, operational, and collateral work streams
- Negotiate transaction documents, covenants, servicing terms, and structural protections
- Present recommendations to the IC with clear articulation of risks, mitigants, and structural considerations
- Monitor asset pools, compliance, servicing data, and trigger behavior
- Identify opportunities for follow‑on investments, refinancings, or restructurings
- Serve as the day‑to‑day lead on select portfolio relationships
- 6‑10+ years of experience in:
- Asset‑backed finance / specialty finance investing
- Structured credit, consumer finance, warehouse lending, or esoteric ABS
- Proven ability to lead deals with limited oversight
- Strong structuring expertise and comfort with complex collateral types
- Demonstrated relationship‑building capabilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a small, growing team
