Location: New York

As the Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will oversee the review and timely submission of critical regulatory reports to key agencies, including the Federal Reserve Bank (FED), New York State banking departments, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpretation of regulatory reporting updates, the annual Regulatory Reporting Training, as well as ensuring that the regulatory reports are in compliance with Natixis data quality standards.

You will supervise junior team members and assign preparers for the daily and monthly reports. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in regulatory analysis, reporting compliance, and team supervision within a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Regulatory Report Management:Review, analyze, and submit regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with standards set by the FED, NYS Banking Departments, and the Department of Commerce. The reports you will oversee include:
    • Call Report (FFIEC 002) – “Report of Assets & Liabilities of U.S. Branches and Agencies of Foreign Banks”
    • FFIEC 019 Report – “Country Exposure Report for U.S. Branches and Agencies of Foreign Banks”
    • FR 2900 Report – “Report of Transaction Accounts, Other Deposits and Vault Cash”
    • FR 2420 Report – “Report of Selected Money Market Rates”
    • U.S. Department of Treasury International Capital Reports submitted to Federal Reserve Bank of New York (TIC B’s e.g. “Report of U.S. Dollar Claims/Liabilities of on Foreign Residents)
    • U.S. Department of Commerce Reports (BE-605, BE-185, BE-12/15 annual)
    • Review of Reg W daily monitoring analysis and reporting
  • Quality Assurance:Document and implement rigorous controls for reporting and participate in data quality projects for implementing new reports, review the data analytics performed on regulatory reports and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to enhance regulatory data integrity.
  • Regulatory Reporting Changes: Stay abreast of regulatory changes that impact the regulatory reports. Implement changes to system logics for report changes, data quality issues, and other required changes to existing logic for appropriate alignment for regulatory reporting.
  • Procedures: Update the regulatory reporting procedures on an annual basis
  • Team Supervision:Provide day-to-day oversight of team members, serving as a mentor and coach, and leveraging their strengths to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Establish and maintain strong communication with the Financial Reporting Group, Product Control, and IT, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are seamlessly integrated into new systems and processes.
  • Internal/External Oversight Responsibilities:Assist in bank examinations and internal audits, and respond to inquiries regarding financial data.
  • Project Management:Lead special projects that foster continuous improvement within the reporting function.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college/university.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5-7 years in regulatory reporting oversight.
  • A deep understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements and financial services products.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP
  • Prior experience with Axiom SL is a plus.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems used in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a knack for critical thinking.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior leaders as well as colleagues as all levels.

The salary range for the Director level position will be between $165,000 - $190,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
