Location: New York

The M&A Senior Associate works directly with senior level management and typically reports to a Director on deal teams assigned. The Senior Associate takes the lead on deals and oversees the work produced by the Associates and Analysts. Senior Associates own process management of engagements, lead and/or participate in financial and business due diligence, serve as the Engagement Lead on client accounts, and take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution and final deliverable development.

Responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day M&A deal execution, advising and updating senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counter parties and other advisors.
  • Manages information flow, leads regular client calls and meetings between the parties, consults clients and investors about documentation, manages virtual data room and analyzes company information.
  • Produces impeccable deliverables such as M&A pitching materials, Confidential Investment Memorandums, Board materials and other presentation materials; serves as quality control for deliverables from juniors and delivers the final product to the Managing Director or Director.
  • Builds and reviews M&A financial models and valuation analyses; develops junior bankers and oversees work product to ensure quality control.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship and direction to Analysts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field;
    Master’s degree with emphasis in Finance or Economics preferred.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of M&A investment banking experience.
  • Commercial mindset; can frame messages well to an audience; sales acumen.
  • Ability to turn high-quality deliverables quickly and successfully, and get them out to market.
  • Exceptional communication skills: demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Must pass the SIE, Series 79 top‑off and 63 exams within four months of start date.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; M&A modeling experience required.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Passion for renewable energy.
