The Role

At Learn Lux, we build a product that can change someone's life. Our success is in helping members achieve their personal financial goals, including getting out of debt, buying a home, getting on track for retirement, and more. Reporting to the COO, the Head of Finance will be broadly responsible for traditional finance responsibilities, including accounting and reporting, financial operations, financial planning and analysis, and tax, in addition to other operational areas.

  • Implement rigorous processes around real‑time forecasting, reporting, and analysis of key metrics, revenue operations, and vendor management.
  • Support department leaders and employees across the full team, including but not limited to the commercial (sales and client success) team, global operations, legal and compliance, and people operations, including compensation and benefits planning.
  • Partner closely with the commercial team in evaluating revenue strategies for new and existing clients, including strategic financial decisions, net new revenue opportunities, renewals, expansions and program upsells.
  • Supervise and raise the level of the accounting and finance organization and core processes to ensure the integrity and timeliness of reporting on financial condition and results by:
    • Overseeing both internal staff and external service providers.
    • Integrating data into financial reports and projections.
    • Developing and documenting business processes and internal controls, ensuring that these are implemented to achieve compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for financial, tax, and compliance reporting.
  • Expand personal leadership to strengthen and scale other company administrative and shared functions after the financial priorities have been addressed.
