Overview

Our retail division, Community Bank, N.A., operates more than 200 facilities across Upstate New York, Northeastern Pennsylvania, Vermont and Western Massachusetts, and we also offer commercial banking, wealth management, investment management, insurance, risk management, and benefit plan administration.
ResponsibilitiesA Teller (Rotating) works in various branch offices and is responsible for creating a positive customer experience while conducting financial transactions. The role requires teamwork, active listening, security of customer information, and responsible management of the cash drawer.
- Provide quality customer service and a positive banking experience by handling financial transactions (cash checks, deposits/withdrawals, etc.) professionally.
- Actively listen for potential sales opportunities to promote specific bank products and services, and refer customers accordingly.
- Conduct customer transactions with accuracy and prepare daily cash balancing within established guidelines.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned or directed.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls, and complete training requirements in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Professional, friendly interpersonal and communication skills.
- Clear thinking and the ability to stay focused.
- Consistently demonstrate the Company’s core values: strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency, and humility.
- Prior customer service skills preferred.
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Travel to surrounding branches as needed.
Hours: 25 hours/week.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase. The total benefits package includes 11 paid holidays, paid vacation, Medical, Vision & Dental insurance, 401(k) with generous match, Pension, Tuition Reimbursement, Banking discounts and more.
Physical Requirements: The employee may be required to stand, walk or sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, speak and hear, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus.
