Overview
Join our dynamic NY Trading Risk Office team at Natixis North America, where we collaborate with the leaders of all trading desks to enhance our understanding and management of risk. We are dedicated to developing innovative quantitative tools that support trading activities. We are seeking a talented Quantitative Analyst to assist with various exciting projects, including model risk management, pricing, P&L explanations, market data calibration, and the development of infrastructure for our tools and reports.
This role will primarily focus on our established fixed income business and our expanding equity derivatives platform.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members in the Trading Risk Office (TRO) and engage with TRO colleagues in Paris.
- Interact with Traders and Front Office Managers to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Contribute to the improvement and growth of our business operations.
- Develop ad hoc analyses and reports that drive decision-making.
- Design and implement solutions that adapt to regulatory changes and evolving market conditions.
- Communicate changes and provide prototypes to Quants and IT teams (including Commandos, MDM, Summit, Murex) responsible for development.
- Coordinate the rollout of changes, including testing and assessing their impact on P&L and risk.
- Work on continuous enhancements of our tools and models to ensure competitive advantage.
- Liaise with model review, audit, and risk teams to facilitate seamless coordination of changes.
- Stay informed about developments in the financial services industry and the regulatory landscape, assessing their impact on our business and risk management strategies.
- A degree in a quantitative field (such as physics, mathematics, or computer science) with a proven record of academic excellence; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in related areas.
- Familiarity with financial products and the models used to price them; experience in interest rate curve construction is preferred.
- A solid understanding of quantitative models and numerical methods used in a financial context.
- Proficiency in coding languages (Python, C#, C++, VBA).
- A readiness to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, while responding creatively and swiftly to changes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

The salary range for this position will be between $140,000 - $155,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
