Within Cantor Fixed Income, Fixed Income Sales is supported by Cantor’s FIG Strategies group. FIG Strategies delivers integrated balance sheet, capital markets, and advisory solutions to community and regional banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and other financial institutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced sales professionals to join our Fixed Income Sales and Trading team, with a focus on community and regional banks, credit unions, insurance companies, or other financial institution clients. This individual will perform traditional fixed income distribution and leverage the Cantor FIG Strategies team and FIG Banking team to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. Success in this role is measured by fixed income revenue and by deepening strategic relationships and originating strategic engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with FIG clients, including senior executives and investment decision makers at community and regional depository institutions.
  • Market, distribute, and execute sales of a broad range of products, including fixed income securities, structured products, and derivatives.
  • Provide market intelligence and product updates to clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely execution.
  • Use portfolio and funding discussions to surface larger themes such as capital plans, capital market decisions, loan portfolio modifications, M&A or similar strategic options.
  • Coordinate with investment banking and the FIG Strategies team to address strategic options with clients and stay involved as the day-to-day relationship owner.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in institutional sales experience with banks or other financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income products, credit markets, and financial institutions balance sheets.
  • Established network of FIG clients and proven ability to drive trading revenue and collaborate with banking/advisory teams to expand the relationship.
  • Working knowledge of bank portfolios and balance sheets (loans, deposits, securities, capital) and how investment decisions fit into the broader picture.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
