Overview

Our client, a leading alternative asset manager based in the New York City area, is seeking a Portfolio Reporting Associate / Senior Associate to join its Commercial Real Estate Debt platform.

This role sits within the Portfolio Reporting function and is responsible for analyzing and reporting on a global commercial real estate credit portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with Asset Management, Originations, Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, and external service providers, gaining broad exposure to the reporting, accounting, and analytical aspects of a scaled CRE debt business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded real estate or credit professional who can independently own reporting processes, manage multiple work streams, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and own monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the commercial real estate debt portfolio
  • Manage recurring and ad-hoc portfolio analyses and reporting requests
  • Maintain and enhance internal reporting tools, dashboards, and trackers
  • Monitor and analyze key loan and risk metrics, including LTV, DSCR, Debt Yield, and loan performance
  • Partner closely with Asset Management, Finance, Investment Teams, and Investor Relations
  • Coordinate with third-party loan servicers and asset managers to support portfolio reporting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in real estate, asset management, portfolio reporting, or a related finance function
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate and credit markets
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate across multiple internal teams, including international stakeholders
  • Self-starter capable of running projects independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
