Strategies Group (ISG)

The Integrated Strategies Group (ISG) at GIC offers a unique and dynamic investment environment, characterized by its flexible investment mandate. Our team navigates both private and public markets and invests across the entire capital structure.

About ISG

ISG is dedicated to pursuing cross-asset and unconventional investment opportunities, developing thematic investment strategies, and expanding GIC’s network beyond traditional domains. Our mission is to broaden GIC’s investable funnel to capture differentiated and attractive opportunities that would otherwise slip through the cracks of traditional asset classes. With our flexible mandate, we are empowered to find the ‘right investment structure’, and execute tailored solutions across private equity, public markets, M&A capital raises, PIPEs, structured/convertible securities, and debt-like instruments.

Our thematic deep - dives have recently explored areas such as music royalties, aircraft leasing, and mobile spectrum, among others. Our group stands out in the market due to its long-term and collaborative orientation, ability to tackle complexity, creative structuring capabilities, and substantial quantum of capital, making us a preferred partner in the industry.

Focus areas
  • Family Solutions: Invest in and alongside founders, entrepreneurs, and family offices across a variety of primary and secondary transactions, including acquisition and growth capital, family liquidity needs, and shareholder restructuring through common equity or structured equity.
  • Alternative Partners: Collaborate with fund-less sponsors, niche-focused managers and operating executives that are not addressed by other teams to tackle large and differentiated investment opportunities in co-bidding, co-investment or fund investment constructs
  • Corporate Solutions: Invest in merger & acquisition financing, subsidiary-level stakes, and act as an aligned and constructive minority investor.
  • Financing Solutions: Offer flexible capital solutions beyond equity and credit. Recent examples include IP financing, royalty streams, aircraft leasing, US mid-market lending, tax receivable assets, real assets and more.
