Hedge Fund in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Fund Accountant for a full-time position!

• Review and assist with accounts payable and billing processes.
• Review and process employees’ expenses and corporate credit card expenses.
• Analyze the monthly funds’ NAV package and ETFs monthly financial package.
• Support the monthly financial closing process, which involves the preparation of journal entries, conducting account analyses, managing revenue and expense accruals, as well as performing reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly stand-alone and/or consolidated financial reports.
• Assist in preparing materials needed for quarterly asset management and board meetings for both corporate entities and funds.
• Review and assist in the semi-annual / annual reports and prospectuses for ETFs.
• Calculate and verify various fees to ensure accuracy.
• Help monitor and communicate new and emerging accounting standards.
• Assist with any financial or accounting projects that the firm may require.

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, within finance.
• Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines;
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and work ethic;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Knowledge of asset management, specifically related to ETFs, is an advantage;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Points skills;
