Dextall is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team
. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close process, and strengthening accounting operations as the company scales.
The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, a hands‑on mindset, and a desire to help build scalable, efficient financial processes in a high‑growth environment. This position is classified as remote or hybrid‑remote. Dextall’s headquarters is in New York City, and candidates located near NYC or able to travel periodically for in‑person meetings are preferred.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Perform regular cash, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions in a timely manner.

  • Process vendor invoices, manage payment runs, and monitor AP balances to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.

  • Prepare customer invoices, track collections, and monitor AR balances to support healthy cash flow.

  • Analyze costs and expenses to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision‑making.

  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting and financial systems to enhance close, FP&A, and reporting processes.

  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies, supporting a strong control environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO DEXTALL:
  • 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high‑growth or fast‑paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience under U.S. GAAP.

  • Proficiency with Quick Books Online (QBO), including cash reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail with a process‑oriented mindset.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Experience working with multiple financial systems (e.g., Ramp, , Zoho) or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools.

  • Solid understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices.
    Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a venture‑backed startup or high‑growth company.

  • Participation in an ERP transition or implementation of new accounting or finance software.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
