Operations Associate

Zimmer Partners, LP is a research-driven investment firm focused on energy and infrastructure equities. We are a multi-billion dollar investment adviser managing three hedge funds and separate accounts.

We are expanding the hedge fund operations team as we have experienced strong growth. We seek candidates with strong analytic skills and the ability to communicate ideas quickly and precisely. Candidates should be detailed-oriented and capable of prioritizing and handling multiple assignments simultaneously in a fluid environment. The ability to work well with others in a team environment is also required.

• Review of daily reconciliation of cash, positions, profit & loss, accruals, receivables/payables.
• Trade processing, reconciliation, settlement coordination and trade break resolution.
• Processing and reconciliation of corporate actions.
• Review of daily and monthly profit & loss.
• Generate internal trade, position and profit & loss reporting for trading teams and risk.
• Track trading strategies including fixed income, equity, FX, bank debt, futures, and swaps.
• Interface with prime brokers and ISDA counter parties.

• Prior operational management experience, preferably within a hedge fund.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance or accounting.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
