Finance & Banking Associate, Financial Analyst

Our client invests in a range of complex secondary transactions on a global basis and has closed 5 funds with AUM in excess of $15b. They are currently seeking an Associate for their New York City office. This position is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing firm with a history of success.

• Conducting in-depth research and analysis on potential investments
• Working on small deal teams to complete due diligence efforts, including significant interaction with private equity fund managers and company management teams
• Preparation of advanced models in Excel
• Drafting detailed investment memoranda and presentations
• Assisting in the management and monitoring of portfolio companies
• Maintaining firm deal pipeline databases and ensuring that all relevant data is accurate
• Coordinating complex, time sensitive processes

• Two to four years of relevant experience (investment banking, private equity, and/or secondaries firm)
• Degree in economics, finance or mathematics is preferred
• Top-tier undergraduate school, with strong academic performance
• Expert modelling skills commensurate with sophisticated financial investing
• Demonstrated understanding of investment processes and economics

• Strong intellectual and analytical skills with an ability to structure and resolve complex problems
• Great interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to form strong relationships
• Self-motivation, discipline, and the desire to make an immediate, positive impact
• Desire and aptitude to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent knowledge of the private equity industry
