Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting function and partner closely with the CFO in a fast-paced, project-driven events environment. This role will have full ownership of financial reporting, controls, and team leadership, while providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
• Oversee revenue recognition and cost tracking across multiple events and client projects
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in partnership with the CFO
• Manage and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and improving processes
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
• Support the CFO with financial analysis, margin reporting, and ad hoc strategic initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows, and reporting tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
• Prior experience in a project-based, client-service, or multi-entity environment strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with senior leadership
