PositionSenior Tax Manager – they are seeking a motivated Senior Tax Manager to join their collaborative team and take the next step in your tax career. Key Responsibilities- Manage and expand a portfolio of high-value clients including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and cross-selling within existing client relationships
- Participate in business development activities and new client acquisition
- Prepare and review complex tax returns and compliance documents
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients throughout the year
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-6 tax professionals (Senior Associates, Associates, and Staff)
- Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure quality deliverables meet firm standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
- Support recruiting efforts and participate in candidate interviews
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes professional growth
- Review complex tax returns prepared by team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Research and resolve complex tax issues using various resources and publications
- Stay current with tax law changes and communicate updates to team and clients
- Ensure all work meets firm quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with tax provision and consulting projects as needed
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and process improvements
- Participate in strategic planning and goal setting
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Collaborate with other service lines (audit, consulting) to provide comprehensive client solutions
- 15 years of tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Proficiency in tax software (experience with CCH Axcess or similar preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Salary up to $200,000
