Our client, a fast-growing and sophisticated financial services organization operating within capital markets and structured lending, is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead enterprise-wide financial planning, modeling, and executive reporting. This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong technical FP&A expertise paired with executive-level communication and commercial judgment.
This position will serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insight into performance, profitability, capital deployment, and forward-looking decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis
- Build and maintain complex, hands-on financial models supporting structured lending, capital allocation, and scenario analysis
- Develop management reporting packages and dashboards for executive leadership and board-level discussions
- Partner closely with senior executives to evaluate strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and risk-adjusted returns
- Analyze revenue drivers, funding structures, portfolio performance, and margin dynamics
- Own forecasting accuracy and continuously refine assumptions tied to market conditions and capital markets activity
- Support capital markets initiatives with ad hoc analysis, sensitivity modeling, and stress testing
- Improve FP&A processes, tools, and data infrastructure as the organization scales
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience
- Demonstrated experience in capital markets, structured lending, specialty finance, or complex financial services environments
- Advanced financial modeling skills; must be comfortable building models from scratch
- Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
- Experience supporting senior leadership with decision-ready analysis and reporting
- Advanced Excel required; experience with BI tools or financial systems is an asset
- CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred
