Tax Director; Asset Management

Our client is a global Investment Fund based in NYC currently seeking to add a Tax Director to lead their Tax Reporting & Accounting Team. Ideal individual will partner with Head of Tax and work closely with CFO to provide expert assistance with respect all Tax Accounting/Reporting and Tax Compliance related matters. This is a newly created role, working with Firms' Executives whom will play a pivotal role in Executive leadership and drive the policies and procedures for Tax Team

• Responsible for tax accounting, internal and external reporting, disclosures, and forecasting.
• Review partnership allocations of income for investment partnerships and issue K-1s to investors.
• Ensure tax provisions are calculated accurately and in accordance with US GAAP & SOX.
• Work closely with the Tax Managing Director on tax structuring for various clients of different tax profiles.
• Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including estimates and planning, for the public & private entities.
• Monitor legislative changes in tax laws that may impact the firm’s tax positions
• Reviewing complex tax returns
• Advising Management Team on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Tax or Accounting
• CPA/MBA and/or MST not required (strongly preferred)
• 7+ years partnership tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
• Well versed in Corporate, S-Corp and/or Partnership returns including SEC
• Experience with Alteryx, Power Automate, or Power BI
