We are currently looking for a Manager to join our Commercial Finance Department in New York.

This will be a hybrid role with in-person attendance required in our NYC office.

Who are you?

Highly organized, highly motivated, goal and detail-oriented self-starter who is looking to jump in and embrace the Agency s Commercial Finance structure and responsibilities.

The task at hand
  • Work with the following cross-functional departments to understand business priorities, strategy and portfolio-specific financial needs: FP&A, Shared Services (A/P and A/R), Accounting, Client Services and Project Management
  • While maintaining client and procurement relationships externally, liaison with the Shared Services (A/R) team, working closely with the Analyst s oversight to track the invoicing process using Netsuite (ERP), from invoice creation to ensuring Client s payments occur timely and accurately
  • Coordinate with Analyst and portfolio leads to escalate any A/R risks or collection issues in order to reach resolution
  • Responsible for the review of monthly revenue recognition, including coordination with Accounting as part of the monthly closing process & ensuring all monthly invoicing has been completed
  • Provide support to the Commercial Financial Lead throughout monthly forecasting, including updating the system with the latest revenue, staffing forecast and OpEx budgets
  • Partner closely with portfolio leads on all aspects of the business - business priorities, strategy, forecasting, risks & staffing in order to drive decision making and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Understand and review agency budgets, scope of works (SOWs) and Vendor contracts (VSAs / VSOWs) in order to ensure financial invoicing details and payment terms are accurate
  • Always work to maximize efficiencies by recommending process improvements, understanding systems/technology and supporting ad hoc reporting needs and requests
The ideal candidate has
  • 4-6 years of work within an agency or business service environment in a Financial Operations, Client Finance or Accounting role
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Experience with Netsuite (or a similar commercial ERP required)
  • Experience with NSPB (or similar EPM / planning tools required)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (and the MS Office Suite) and Google Sheets (pivot tables and Vlookups will be your best friends)
  • Strong ability to partner with and build relationships with cross-functional teams to address business concerns in a diplomatic fashion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team while thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Base Salary: $85,000—$115,000 USD
