Overview
Our Americas Rates Trading team are looking to hire a VP level trader for USD denominated rates products based in New York City. In the role you will be responsible for market-making USD related bond products as part of our expanding franchise in coordination with our NY / Global Sales & Trading. You will be coordinating with our local and Global Sales & Trading team(s) to service clients.
Responsibilities- Market Making and Risk Management of US Government Bonds, and Managing financial risk and non-financial risks of the business
- Interacting with clients, sales and internal counter parties in trading, coverage, and structuring functions to increase market transparency and to generate new business
- Syndicating the business strategy to key infrastructure partners to ensure efficient allocation of resources and alignment of goals
- Able to understand and interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas
- Able to work in a high-paced environment under pressure
- Lead as an excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills
- Interact closely with the rest of the interest rate trading group
- Work closely with our distribution force as we work towards expanding our franchise with key constituents such as the US government agencies and cash investors
- Work with risk and control partners to support our commitment to operating a controlled environment
- Strong knowledge of interest rate products
- Strong market acumen, with in-depth understanding of macro environment and its impact on rates products. Able to understand and interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas. You should have a BS degree or above in Economics, Finance, Math Finance or Quantitative Finance
- Able to work in a high paced environment under pressure

It is the Bank s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
