Whitman Advisory, on behalf of our client, is assisting in the hiring of a Senior Tax Associate with high-net-worth and private client experience.
ABOUT THE POSITIONAs a Tax Senior within the Private Client Services group, you will provide customized tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and related entities. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal team members to develop comprehensive tax strategies that align with each client’s financial objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Work directly with clients to evaluate their financial circumstances and long-term goals.
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, trust, foundation, and estate and gift tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Design and implement personalized tax strategies that minimize liabilities while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax and financial matters.
- Stay informed on evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry developments that may affect clients.
- Research complex tax issues and develop innovative, practical solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across levels to deliver integrated client service.
- Interpret tax rules and provide clear guidance in response to client questions.
- Analyze estate and gift tax exposure and assist in developing strategies to reduce those obligations.
- Communicate technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner to clients with varying degrees of financial sophistication.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering professional development.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, ideally within a private client, wealth management, or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, trust, estate, and gift taxation.
- Proficiency with tax preparation and research software.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
